Dear UT students, faculty, staff and Austin residents! We are excited to announce Project 2024, a massive volunteer event aimed at making a positive impact in our community. The Project is an excellent way for everyone to come together and contribute to something meaningful, and we are less than two weeks away from doing so!

The Project will take place on March 2nd, 2024 from 9 AM to 5 PM for an entire day of student-run service!

The day is split into two volunteer shifts.

The morning shift is from 9 AM to 2 PM and the afternoon shift is from 12 PM to 5 PM.

Since 1999, the Project has partnered with countless neighborhoods around Austin to bring scores of Longhorns out to make a difference. Every two years, The Project works with a different partner neighborhood. This year’s Project will take place in the Dove Springs neighborhood–and next year’s will too! On this day, volunteers from all over Austin come together to empower each other to help our local communities.

This is a wonderful opportunity for UT students to engage in and give back to the local community while gaining valuable leadership skills and service hours to put on their resume as well! There are 10 sites in Dove Springs where we will be completing various requested tasks such as building infrastructure, beautification, gardening, painting projects, holding a Kids Fair, and more!

We currently have over 300 volunteers, and are aiming for 1000 by Project Day! You can sign up to volunteer here: https://www.givepulse.com/group/1030848-the-project-2024

We're thrilled about the impact The Project can have, and we invite each of you to join us in making a difference. Let's come together and create positive change! Follow @ut_collective on Instagram for Project 2024 updates!

For the second year in a row, Phillips 66 is teaming up with the Project to help bring UT Austin’s largest day of service to life. Thanks to the financial generosity of Phillips 66, the Project and the Community Engagement Collective can continue the legacy of the Project and

create lasting relationships between UT students and our community partners. Last year with their gift money, we were able to supply hundreds of books to Austin Voices and Education and purchase a brand new shed to hold essential Project tools at Northeast Early College High School. This year, the money will be our primary backing for all the beautification tasks for Project 2022. And their generosity hasn’t stopped there. Many Phillips 66 staff have expressed their eagerness to join in the action on April 9th and do hands-on work alongside our student volunteers. Learn more about Phillips 66 and their dedication to fostering a thriving society at www.phillips66.com/community. We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Philipps 66!
