Dear UT students, faculty, staff and Austin residents! We are excited to announce Project 2024, a massive volunteer event aimed at making a positive impact in our community. The Project is an excellent way for everyone to come together and contribute to something meaningful, and we are less than two weeks away from doing so!Â
The Project will take place on March 2nd, 2024 from 9 AM to 5 PM for an entire day of student-run service!
The day is split into two volunteer shifts.
The morning shift is from 9 AM to 2 PM and the afternoon shift is from 12 PM to 5 PM.
Since 1999, the Project has partnered with countless neighborhoods around Austin to bring scores of Longhorns out to make a difference. Every two years, The Project works with a different partner neighborhood. This year’s Project will take place in the Dove Springs neighborhood–and next year’s will too! On this day, volunteers from all over Austin come together to empower each other to help our local communities.
This is a wonderful opportunity for UT students to engage in and give back to the local community while gaining valuable leadership skills and service hours to put on their resume as well! There are 10 sites in Dove Springs where we will be completing various requested tasks such as building infrastructure, beautification, gardening, painting projects, holding a Kids Fair, and more!Â
